Genealogy Service

Llangollen Museum offers a Genealogy Service and a Property History Service for those wishing to find out more information about their family history or the story of their houses in Llangollen and Llantysilio. The Museum has an extensive collection of records that can be utilised for genealogy and property history. These include census records, tithes, estate rental records and maps, newspapers (including copies of the Llangollen Advertiser/Chronicle from 1868 to 1944 on microfilm), travellers' logs, property deeds, rate records and church records.

You can use the Museum resources to conduct your own research or, for a very reasonable rate, ask us to carry out research for you. We offer several different levels of research, but would normally start with a basic search through both Museum records and other sources held at Denbighshire Record Office.
